Luminous Arc - The Backstory
One Thousand years after the climatic batle that nearly destroyed the world the Luminous Church thrives, based on the teachings of the Luminous Saints. The land finally knows peace, until the birth of a special child marks God's awakening from his slumber. He entered his slumber after defeating the Witches, to heal from his greivous wounds. With this child comes a prophecy that the Witches will reappear as well, to prevent God from reawakening and leading His people to glory. Take control of Alph, a soldier in the Luminous Church's elite "Garden Children" unit, and begin a quest to rid the word of the Witches and return peace to the world.

The Eunus Knights from the East and the Zephyroth Knights from the West are the holy protectors of the Luminous Church. Protected by these Knights, the Luminous religion has led the people of the world into a golden age of peace and prosperity,
The Shadow Comes
As a new millenium drawns, a taint of evil has begun to spread across the land. Recent attacks by monsters and supernatural phenomena appear to be the work of the evil "Witch of Immolation" that appeared with a burst of scorching flames. The people have been reminded of the destruction at Aldheld, a world-shattering battle that took place a thousand years before...
The Protectors
"Protect the Light, Condemn the Dark". This is the motto of Heath, Arc Knight in the Luminous Church, and leader of the Ever Garden, a facility created to train a group of special soldiers to protect the Church in these times of strife.
